2 liter bottle with the a drilled hole in the cap. Drill another hole somewhere on the bottle for a carb [fresh air intake]. Put fish tank air hose in the drilled hole on the cap [intake on the cap] and connect it to fish tank air pump. Tape it secure. Out take fish air hose from the fish tank air pump to anywhere in the bug zapper.

Carbon Dioxide. Mix vinegar, baking soda, and yeast to make it. Mix in the 2 liter bottle, secure it, and run it. Good to go.

Not sure on ratios. . Experiment

Have not tried this method, but seems somewhat intelligent. Not sure how long the bottle will keep pushing CO2. Essentially you could just use pressure from the mixture, however the pump should work much faster with better results.

Together, we can wipe out the population and make mosquitos extinct ;]

The light in the zapper is usually what draws the mosqitoes in.

  • The female mosquito is the biter, as she takes in blood to use as energy before laying her eggs. As mosquitoes lay their eggs in or around water, you could add a little saucer or container of water near the big zapper.

Burn citranella c\nles or spray yourself!

  • Lighted bug zappers, while advertised to kill mosquitos, don't as they are not attracted to light. When we're outside, we use mosquito coils and a Thermacell which keeps our deck mosquito-free.
