When I cleaned out my grandfather's house many years ago I came across an old curling broom in his shed. At the time it had the name of the curling club on it but it has long since faded. It was one of many things I couldn't part with. When I first seen it I thought witch's broom but never did anything with it until now.

So here is my broom. Considering it's age it's in good condition.

The first thing I did was cut off the string that was holding the broom tight.

Once the string was cut the broom opened up more.

Next step was to paint my handle black.

So here is my handle painted.

Next I took a piece of Halloween tulle.

I unfolded it and cut a small hole in the center.

I slid the tulle over the handle down to rest on the broom.

Taking my fingers I scrunched the tulle at the top and using green ribbon tied it tight.

Here it is with ribbon attached.

Next I took my glue gun and put a dab of hot glue at the base of my broom and attached a piece of ribbon, then began wrapping the ribbon up the broom handle til I reached the top. I secured it with another dab of glue.

My handle with the ribbon attached.

Here is my witch's broom complete!

This was a super easy project that cost me nothing to make.
