Landscaping: Have any ideas on how my sellers can change their terraced backyard from awful to awesome?

All buyers have rejected the spectacular house because of the steep but terraced back yard. There is a walkout door from the basement about 20 feet from the first wall. They are willing ...»
to finish the patio and put in some landscaping but how to divert the attention from the edge and show that it is still useable space...thats the issue.

  • Before, note the one small window that allows very little light in the kitchen due to a patio and a huge tree. 4
  • I did a lot of prep work before I started priming.
  • I used a paint sprayer to primer and paint all of the doors and drawer fronts. 1
  • After several coats of primer and semi-gloss paint. 1
  • I painted my hinges and installed new knobs instead of the brass colored handles. 2

I painted the cabinets about 18 months ago. Not a nick or a scratch anywhere. I really took a lot of precautions to make sure this paint STUCK.

    Did you paint the checkerboard on the linoleum? Or is that the wood floor underneath the linoleum?
