You may have noticed that my dear hubby has a finger bandaged in a couple of the pictures. Just a reminder to never ever stretch your arms to either side of you to hold wood in place while you're using a framing nailer. Or any nailer for that matter. The thing double shot and a humongous nail went straight through his finger, bone and all. Major ouch and a trip to an Omaha hospital emergency room. The nurse and female doctor had to call in a male doctor to remove it. Hubby watched. I didn't, but did take a photo of it with my cell phone without managing to look at it. Don't worry, I didn't post that picture.

Also, never talk your spouse into using another product than the one he's had luck with in the past just to get a job done sooner. Though it seemed to work just fine at the time, it wasn't long before one of the tiles cracked.

After hubby carefully removed all the tiles we took one with us and headed to HoDe and L's. We were very lucky to find a marble tile that coordinated with the originals since the original tile was no longer available.

Once home I scanned both tiles and used the Paint program to play around with patterns. The one you see on the right won. #lessonlearned
