  • This is the front of our home. There are flower beds in front of the whole house. 1
  • Kinda thinking a pergola above this entire length of wall. Starting at the steps going to the end on the right....
  • Thinking about this style of pergola (?) Probably will just anchor posts into the ground rather than as shown. 1
  • I like the simplicity of this column/roof design. I'm thinking of something like this only with a pergola roof.
  • I like this idea.Simple railing with flower boxes. However to accommodate the entry direction, the railings would be on the sides rather than on the front as shown.

Outdoor Living: Looking for porch/steps/pergola ideas

This spring/summer I'm hoping to construct a new front entry for our house. It needs to fit into the neighborhood (very simple designs) yet hopefully give some definition to our front ...»
entry way. Wanna get on the bandwagon and describe or show pics of ideas? ;-) I have many ideas of my own already but wondering if our budget will allow certain ones. We're going to remove the existing cement two-level steps to make it larger (and level!) to have more room for the proposed redesign.

Repurposed / Upcycled Bird Feeder Dust Pan

I had a blast making another variation of my dust pan bird feeders with this vintage chrome and copper finished design. I added an oven thermometer, some vintage chrome handles and some ...»
metal edging along with some custom metal treatment here and there to finalize it "for the birds".

Wouldn't a neutral America be great?

I love to paint furniture- especially dressers as they can take on any look at all. I was seeing all the British dressers but wanted to do an American Flag- (yes military here- US Air Force) but I am a bit on the neutral color scheme..Why not a neutral flag instead of the typical red, white and blue?
