Un-shrink a futon back cloth

Recently I bought a used futon (flip-flop). The whole cover was washed and machine dried. The back cloth part is now too short. I was thinking of spray-wetting the whole back part and stretching it while wet.

Honestly I think thats the only way your going to get the cover back on.

I agree, stretching the fabric while is wet is the only thing that might work. You might want to invest in a special tool to do this.

I read recently that soaking the cloth in fabric softener works for shrunken wool sweaters and like fabrics. Try spraying with half softener and half water. Do not put in dryer. If the cover is cotton, I'd use an organic product like seventh generation.
