Our First Ever DIY Project!

Christine Barnes

When my new greenhouse arrived I decided it would be good to have some storage shelves and found an idea on Pinterest of one made out of pallets!
The first step was to find a few good quality pallets and to dismantle them. We started off by using all sorts of tools to pull them apart. It was taking ages then I found a YouTube video which made life a lot easier. Basically you use a demolition saw to saw through the nails......so much easier!
I wanted different height shelves so worked out how to achieve this.
We were lucky to find a pallet that was almost perfect for the top shelf without having to alter it much at all
We painted it cream with the same paint we had left over from our shed.
And this was the best bit adding all the finishing touches!

@I've become very good at waiting, Christine. We were the contractors on our current home so were allowed to move in before it was finished. That will be 12 years ago soon and it's still not finished so I know very well about waiting for the next project. All too well. LOL
