Something to do with old bookcases

I have two 3 shelf bookcases that I want to do something with, looking for suggestions.

    turn on side add feet and make cute lockers put numbers on top and hang a coat hook

    I took an old bookcase, waterproofed it with Thompsons Water Sealer & put it on my porch to hold plants n flower pots--looks beautiful!!!

    Put plywood on the back, attach legs. Put pots in and do container gardening.

    Set them on their back, add Teflon gliders and use them for " under the bed" storage

    I would rub it back and then stain it with teak and make a wine rack with 90 ml water pipe.

    Do you need a "half wall" or room divider or a sofa table...then connect them side by side (can screw together for re-enforcement) and put a one piece granite top over both to look like it's one piece. If you cannot afford granite, you can do a simple wooden top in a white or linen color--leaving the bottom a wood tone color.

    If they aren't too large you could put them sideways on a wall in the bathroom and store rolled towels, decor, etc in between the shelves and on top

    @Pauline, if you can share photos of them I'd be more than happy to come up with ideas. I enjoy repurposing furniture, but a visual works better to get my creative juices flowing. There are so many different styles of short book cases out there. Though I love to help, I'd be wasting both our time by coming up with ideas that wouldn't work for the ones you have. Also, an idea of where you would like to use them and your decorating style.
