How We Stained Our Concrete Floors

My husband and I purchased a 55 year old lake house knowing that it would need a total renovation. We decided to stain the concrete floors, because it was a lake house, and it would be the least expensive type flooring. We spent $550 to stain the entire house. We researched how to do this project on the internet, and we got advice from others that had stained concrete floors before.
When this project was completed, I was so relieved, because it turned out exactly how I wanted the floors to look. I wanted a rustic look, and I could not be happier.

You can find more information on the stained concrete floors including the step by step photos and directions, and also the complete home renovation on the blog. http://www.savvyapron.com/

Our floor will be brand new as we're building our home now. The only carpet in the house will be the master bedroom and closet and the upstairs floor.
