You've all been great so far! What do I do with this tub enclosure?

I know the top needs scrubbing but I need to think of the next step after that!
This is the top of my tub endure. Any EASY and inexpensive ideas to make this look more finished ? I'm not frilly and like clean neat and simple

In my opinion I would put a glass enclosure with shower doors.

How about purchasing one of those curved shower curtain rods to make the space a little larger in the tub. I would also suggest painting the ceiling white, so it doesn't run into the peach color of the wall. Then, for above the tub, where the flat part of the wall is (peach color), you could stencil a motif of complimentary color?

Amy, can you take a picture showing more of the tub enclosure please? It's hard to help you with seeing what you are asking about.

@Amy, I personally haven't installed tiles, but was my hubby's helper as he did all the tile work in our home. I think the easiest way for you to do this would be to use the new stick on tiles. Here's a short video from a brand that HoDe sells. L's also have a version. I'd check both for the best price. It shouldn't take too many and since you don't have to buy all the tools normally needed with traditional tiles, you're probably saving money, and most certainly time, in the long run.

Try an wood edging u can paint and hang your rod from top down and blend your colors so that they're not so stark. The pink stands out to much making the shower compartment look small & the silver clips need to go. too much contrast. u could try a stencil on the overhang, but the pink is too in your face, make it beige as the shower inside maybe with a chocolate design. It looks nice , but needs to blend more.
  • Is it possible to add storage above the enclosure, trim it out and give it a built-in look? Useful space up there!
  • Yep. Maybe divided in half vertically. Add it just above the enclosure and add a little trim to cover where they meet. Enclosure becomes a built in.

Don't put storage above ; the humidity from the shower will make anything u put up there moldy and mildew and in a very short time it will stink. U could put nice pattern on the overhang, but i suggest u paint the background the same as the walls. The pink color is making your bathroom look small and in your face .
