How to Make Monogrammed Hand Towels

I recently participated in the Great Craft Swap hosted by Wayfair. I was asked to pick an inexpensive, ordinary item and work some DIY/Craft magic on it and then send it on to another participant. How fun! Our choices were: a small wooden frame, a tablecloth, a set of three wooden cutting boards, or a set of waffle weave bar towels.
I chose the bar towels. Since they were white, I thought they'd make a good convas for my idea.
Since just about everyone these days loves monograms and anything personalized, I decided to monogram these towels with the recipients last initial.
I made my monogram using glitter heat transfer vinyl cut with my Silhouette Cameo®.
I adhered the red, gold, and green glitter vinyl initial monograms using my heat press (a Christmas present from last year)
I just love how they turned out!
And I was pleased at how well the vinyl monogram is attached to the towels and that the heat press did not flatten out the waffle weave. Please visit http://createandbabble.com/how-to-monogram-hand-towels/ for more detailed instructions on how to make these monogrammed towels and also to see what I received!
