Harvest Front Door: Stacked Pumpkins and Corn Stalk Urns

This fall porch with stacked pumpkins and corn stalk filled urns offers a friendly autumn welcome without being too fussy or requiring too much effort. # Thanksgiving
I started by getting "matching" pumpkins, that would stack nicely. It required testing a few different kinds, but after a few tries I found 3 good sets.
Filling the urns on the front porch with dried corn stalks which are then gathered and tied with raffia and a gingham bow, offer a nice departure from fall flower arrangement

-- plus I don't have to remember to water them!!
Once my supplies were gathered and we were back from the farmer's market, the whole porch came together in less than 30 minutes...
I matched the ribbon on the wreath to the one I used on the corn stalks.
A wreath that is filled with fall fruit and dried naturals "feel" like fall.
I added leftover corn stalks to our light post.
I added a 1980's era copper mold to the gathered corn stalks. Again, I used the same ribbon to carry the look throughout the front of the house.
Welcome Fall!! ....and Welcome Guests!!
