Shabby Chic fall décor.. A nice spin to the traditional pumpkin. It only cost $3 and you can get all these items at your local Dollar Tree. Side note: did you know you can order online and have it ship to the store at no cost? I used those bright orange foam pumpkins. One roll of burlap poke-a-dot ribbon. One roll covers perfectly with about an 1" to spare, some twine and a hot glue gun. I loved this simple DIY project great for any beginner. I hope you'll love as much as I do!
Supplies you have around the home that you'll need to do this project, sissors, glue gun, your Pumpkin, ribbon and twine all at the dollar store making this a $3 project.
Remove the stem.
Cut all your ribbon to 8" strips
Glue each strip overlapping just along the edge and glue them down one by one.
Repeat until the whole pumpkin is covered

Take the stem and cover with twine, going around until it's fully covered.
Done if you don't want the orange to show you'll need to paint your pumpkin white or brown. I didn't mind how it shows..
I added a couple leaves that I had gotten from another project that I had these were also from the dollar store.
Here it is done. I paired it with the dollar store small burlap pumpkin that I had bought. this is a nice simple project and would be great as a party craft for kids, just be careful with the hot glue gun.

Using semi transparent burlap ribbon so that the orange color still shows through to some extent gives the pumpkins an added dimension that is more high-end than just plain burlap.
