Bay window

I have a 5 bay window which goes right up to the ceiling. I recently bought some beautiful velvet curtains with metal grommets to thread the curtains through. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make a ceiling mounted pole to thread these on please?

Plumbing pipe makes great curtain rods. You will need pipe the length you need, floor flanges (these are screwed into the ceiling), elbows and nipples. If the length is really long you may need to support the middle with a tee, nipple and third flange.

Have u considered 4Lge coffee hooks from hardware store or $tree;screw into ceiling and at corners. Then purchase cording at fabric store the length u need plus 1 ft for making loop at end, so u can take down to wash. Cording in white. Then make loops at ends and get electric mar connectors u squeeze on to hold ends secure. Good luck.

If you are planning on hanging the rods along the front of the bay, then you can attach the ring type center brackets, they come in wood and metal, to your ceiling and run your rod through them with brackets on the outside of the rod. You can either use rods made for curtains, wooden closet dowel rods, or pipe (as @Tonia mentioned) for the rods. You can find wooden finials to use for the ends of the closet rods or elbows with no finials of the pipes. I've shown an example below of a curtain rod with the ring type brackets that can also be found in wood at HoDe and L's. I would assume you can find them somewhere in the UK too.
