Flower Vases

2 Hours
Easy
I love flowers, fake or real, and I'm always looking for ways to display the ones I like most. And I like to recycle as well, and I have plenty of bottles home so I made these flower vases. They are fun and easy to make!
First of all, we need to remove labels. I use hot water to do that. Then I paint them with homemade chalk paint, but spray paint would be ok too.
Then I apply the graphics to the bottle. You can decoupage them, which means cutting the image to the borders, apply some white glue to the back and stick it to the bottle.
Another way to apply the image is to transfer it. Now you need to print the image mirrored, cut it to the borders again, apply some glue on the right side and stick it to the bottle. Here it comes the most difficult part, wait. You need to wait at least 5 hours to dry.

Then you took a dump rug and rub all the paper off.
Once you are happy with it, just apply one or two coats of varnish, and wrap some twine around the neck of the bottle. You can use a hot glue gun to keep it in place.
And you're done! You just need to decide which is the best place to show your vases

Oh I agree. Easy & thrifty & very pretty & less bottles in the landfill! Yep, this is a great idea. Thx! I will do it.
