Easy
Two wooden salad bowls with a tiny hinge between them can be turned into a fun little trinket box, and in this case- one that looks like a pumpkin!.

Finding these salad bowls at the thrift store made my upcycling heart sing! A little beat up, but perfect for this quick, yet fantastic project. So I snapped them up.
Those ridges screamed pumpkin to me, so I grabbed some orange craft paint and a sponge brush. I used my favorite technique to give it a rustic, vintage-y paint job. ( Check out the full tutorial for my DIY secrets! )
For the stem, I had expected to use a plain ole' drawer knob from a home salvage store. But this small salvaged swag / coat hook was perfectly gourd-y! Hard to look at it any other way now, eh?
Then, I transformed it into a positively DARLING trinket box in one final step! (Details on my blog!)
Isn't it just the cutest thing? I *REALLY* wish I had purchased all those salad bowls now. Oh well- Happy Fall! And pumpkin spice everything. :) Don't forget to head over to my blog post for each and every step for this project.
