A Whimsical Pumpkin

60 Minutes
Easy
I'm feeling silly and sometimes this silliness takes over me. I wanted to make a glam and glitzy pumpkin, but all I can come up with right now is something cute and whimsical. At least I hope it is. Meet my whimsical pumpkin figure. Bright eyed and smiling!
I started with a large plain pumpkin.
Since I can't draw, I enlarged a face pattern I found online and tried to trace it on. But there were too many ridges for the carbon to take so I had to cut out the eyes and trace around them using a sharpie paint pen.
I started filling in the black portion of the eyes . . . adding the nose and mouth, too!
And while the paint was drying, I attached the legs, that were fiber-fill stuffed socks from the dollar store, to the bottom of the pumpkin. I also tied raffia to the ends of the socks.
I made arms out of stuffed scrap fabric and wire that I poked into the sides of the pumpkin, sealing them on with hot glue.
Hi there!
Whoops!
I'm ready for fall! How bout you?
