Kid Art Gallery Wall

We're almost done our basement makeover! I wanted to do something fun on the walls that lead you down into that room. It's a fun, playful family space, so I wanted it to reflect that. I headed into my stash of 'stuff' - old picture frames, yard sale finds, etc and it hit me. I collected all the white frames I had (and painted a couple), grabbed some of my kids' masterpieces over the years and a Kid Art Gallery Wall was born!
This hallway used to be so dark. The walls AND ceiling were brown, there was nothing on the walls...it was as blah as you can get (as seen in this before shot!)
This was mid paint - as you can see, the ceiling is white. Imagine that brown too. Not too fun. But now...
Some unfinished letters for their first names (that I also had from a previous project), a red light up arrow (that was on clearance!) and now it has so much personality. The kids LOVE it, they feel so proud - it's also easy on the budget AND looks pretty darn cute. I'd call that a win-win-win! Can't wait to wrap up the rest of this room!
