Easiest Way to Make Tassels

by Linda B
I found the easiest way ever to make tassels from embroidery floss. I've made lots and lots of them in a short time this way.
Step number one.. buy a pretty shade of embroidery floss.
Take off the labels and lay out the floss as shown below.
But off 1 1/2 yards of floss and keep separate.
Cut off 4 - 3 inch pieces.
Tie a knot in the four places shown below, separating the floss into 4 sections.
Cut the skein of floss into four sections with the knots in the middle of each section as shown.
Fold the little floss sections over.
With the extra floss left over wrap each section near the top but leave the loop on the top. Tie a knot.
Do all four sections of floss in the same way until you have four very cute tassels.
Ta - da!!
Anything (almost) can be made into a tassel... yarn, string, plastic strips, paper, etc.etc. Stop by my blog and enjoy some of the fun. I also made a tassel bracelet that is pretty fun also. Make some yourself. Everyone has floss hanging around. For more complete instructions, come by and see...

@Allinthefamilysingers Thanks, I thought the same thing! I was making them the old fashioned way by winding embroidery floss around a small piece of cardboard. Thanks for commenting.
