I used brown paper and an iron. I kept the iron moving and it re-stuck the laminate. Mine was where it was next to the oven door and the heat had made it warp from the base. It was slightly awkward in some parts as the cabinet door was shaped but it did work on mine.

I used brown paper and an iron on mine. I kept the iron moving over the brown paper and it softened the laminate and re-stuck it. Hope this helps.

Thanks Janet for that tip. Mine is coming loose over the cooker from steam. I'm going to try your tip.

Hi Sandra, mine was coming off by the cooker door when I moved in. It really does work and I managed to mould it into the decorative grooves in the door. Hope you have a good result. How's sunny Ireland lol. Mum and dad in law live in Wicklow town.

I also had issues with the laminate coming off the edges of cabinet doors. In some places the laminate was just gone. So my solution was to re-stick the laminate where I could and to use wood filler in the areas where the laminate was gone. Once the filler was dried, I sanded it to blend with the rest. Of course the filler doesn't match the rest of the laminate so I sanded the cabinets and painted them. You can't even tell where I used the filler or where the laminate had lifted.

Remember Gorilla glue expands. Try a glue that the "do it yourself" store recommends. I used Gorilla glue on something and had a time removeing it as it expanded and made matters worse. You will need some clamps after you apply the glue to hold it together while the glue sets..

Sunny Ireland isn't. We didn't do too bad for the past week. Though today is dreary grey and rainy. Ukk! I love Wicklow. My granddad on my Mother's side was from Wicklow. Beautiful green fields sea breeze and stunning lakes, rivers, and streams. I live in the Midlands. Nice walks and lake nearby, the land is mostly flat but still has the Irish forty shades of green.

We are grey dreary and damp as well. I love it over there so I'm madly jealous. Take care, hope cabinets go ok 😀

Wood glue. Or as the builders info at Lowe's or Home depot. I know that they will give you answers and they know what they are talking about.

Remove the laminate, clean off the glue, clean the table tops, prime, then paint. Use an enamel paint, like what is used in kitchens, and bathrooms, so that it will easily wash off whatever is spilled on it.
