How to Bejewel a Halloween Skull

A skull really does say spooky, scary and Halloween, doesn’t it? I really prefer a Halloween that is classic and fun and not really gory or frightening. Those plastic skulls covered with proscuitto to look like a head with the skin pulled off? YUCK! That really won’t be making an appearance on my Halloween party table. Adding some sparkle to a plastic skull on the other hand Adding some sparkle to a dollar store Halloween skull is and easy and fun last minute project. This creepy guy would look good on a shelf, a windowsill or even on your Halloween day breakfast table to get your family in the mood. This is also a great project for older kids.
If you are having kids over for Halloween, you can gather up a bunch of skulls and beads and gems and let them all create their own bejeweled skull to take home! You can offer up just black jewels and rhinestones like I did, or a collection of all kinds of different colors so they can all be creative
I think decorating a skull like this makes it so much more special than just leaving it plain. I am already thinking about what I can do with paints next year!
So, pick up a plastic skull, some crystals, pearls, or whatever, and get creative!
