Autumn Fireside Basket

Fall is definitely here with the showy autumn colors of the leaves and the cooler temperatures. I think I love the fall the most. To me it represents canning season, baking, magnificent color in nature, nestling in a quilt or thick throw, fireplaces lit and crackling, warm hot chocolate or tea, making wonderful soups, and much more. Yes I love Fall…
This project can be made for any season but I think this would look good next to a fireplace, on the front porch, or anywhere you would like to visually warm up.
Supplies: a basket, pine cones, a set of lights, accents such as leaves and flowers, glue gun, and paper.
Plug in lights and make sure they work. Wad up paper tightly and put in the bottom of the basket. Place the lights in and weave in pine cones in and around the lights gluing them when you are satisfied with the placement. Add accents to the basket if desired.
Try to get outside and enjoy the fall, then go inside for some baked zucchini bread and soup. That’s what I am going to do.

Happy Fall,

Mary
