The Equipment Needed For Making Your Own Soap

Medium
Making your own soap at home is one of the best ways you can work toward living a more frugal life. It is not only rewarding financially, once you are all set up for homemade soap making, you will also find that it is a fun, and very enjoyable, hobby. You can make soap at home to use for yourself and your family, you can make soap to sell at local farmers markets, craft shows, or on one of the several online craft retailers, or you can make soap to give away as unique, desirable gifts. Here's an outline of some of the equipment needed for making your own soap. Check out the full list on our blog!
While every tool in soap making is super important, here's our favorite and what we think to be the most important. Other tools you will need in addition to these are: The Lye Container (if you do a lye base), The Mixing Vessel, Safety Goggles & Gloves, Spoon & Ladle, Paper Towels, Measuring Tools, Scents, Essential Oils...and more!
The Scale: definitely one of the most important tools--- and we prefer a digital for extra accuracy!
The Stick Blender: Along with the scale, this is also one of the more important tools. The stick blender ensures all the ingredients get mixed together in a timely and accurate manner.
The Molds: Molds can range from a simple square to a more detailed mold, such as a cow or a chicken. We even have some adorable sheep molds that we LOVE!
