Hi again! I am Cait from Little City Farmhouse and I wanted to share with you today a project I did for two little sweet girls!

These girls are moving into their big girl beds and so we wanted to do something special for them! So we whipped up a special colour just for their bunk beds!
The colour mama was after was a light robin’s egg blue. We played around with mixes of different colours and came up with this shade! It is 2 parts Elegance, 2 parts Vanilla Frosting, and 1 part Bliss. It’s a lovely shade!
Everything was painted in two coats of our robin’s egg blue. When doing pieces like this that have a lot of edges and spindles and parts, I like to paint in lighter coats. This prevents dripping and speeds up dry time! After two light coats, if there are places that seem like they need another coat, I will go back and touch these up using a fairly dry brush.
I let everything dry overnight and went back and sanded the beds smooth and gave them a light distressing and waxing.
The beds are just darling! I hope the girls enjoy them for years and years to come!
