Fall Porch Decor Farmhouse Style

Fall is here. It's porch decor day on the blog. Decorating my front porch is one of my favorite things to do!
I can decorate the inside of my house until the cows come home, but very few people actually see it in real life. Now the outside is a different story. We live on a semi-busy road and lots and lots of people see the porch as they drive by.

And I feel it's my civic duty to put a smile on their face as they drive by. OK, maybe they're smiling because they thinks I'm a nut, but a smile is a smile.

My biggest question every year is whether I am going to put cornstalks on the porch or not.

I LOVE the look and it just is quintessential fall decor, but the mess. Man, the mess when it gets to be November and they are pretty much dried out and every little wind blowing will throw some more corn stalk pieces onto the porch and into the yard.

This year we're going with the stalks!

Other than the stalks, I pretty much went with traditional elements.

A yellow table that I had put on my spring porch this year. Even though it's a bright yellow I thought it would be a good fall color.
