Faux Living Wall Art

Here's a fun way to turn an unused tray into art! Create a faux living wall art. This is a project I've been wanting to try for a while. After a blogging friend hosted a Create and Share blog hop where 9 bloggers create with 1 item, I took the opportunity to use craft supplies I had on hand to transform an unfinished tray.
Since the tray was raw wood, I had to lightly sand it and spray paint a base coat of white to start off. Left over teal paint was used on the the inside for a dark backdrop.
To prepare for the faux garden, square pieces of felt were cut in a square spiral pattern and rolled up to create rosettes that resemble succulents.
I used the DIY felt rosettes and added moss rocks and faux succulents from the dollar store to fill in the faux garden.
The faux living wall art adds a lovely pop of color to our bright and eclectic foyer.
