DIY Spooky Halloween Village

I love finding thrift items and making them my own! Check out this inexpensive Halloween Village I created!
Here's the Christmas houses I picked up from the local Salvation Army.
I grabbed some spray paint. I wanted a mix of black and gray.
I gave them a quick spray!
I then bought some scary rings and glue dots from the Dollar Tree. I cut the ring/circle portion of the ring off and glued the insects to the houses!
I love how they turned out! I added some lanterns and a spooky tree from the dollar section of Target. Plus, some scary figurines from the Dollar Tree.

I have expensive houses from Partylite candle company that sat in my dining room off the kitchen. They got a coating of greasy dust on them. When I tried to wipe that off, the paint came off. I was floored. Now I have something that can be made with the ruined pieces that I can enjoy. Thanks ... I can also look for the cheap ones at thrift, but this helped me out.
