Grow them in plastic pots with drainage holes in the bottom. Water them in the sink, allow them to drain then put them back in the window. You can set the plastic pots inside of baskets or slightly larger pots if you want to. Depending on how large the plants are and how large the pots are you may have to water every day. or only once a week. Every now and again it is a good idea to allow the pots to sit in the sink with an inch of water for several hours.

Esmeralda - are you currently living in the Dominican Republic? If so, you can leave your plants outside all year long as the temperatures don't get low/freezing there. You can grow them in pots or put them in the ground. If they are in pots, check them everyday to make sure the soil does not get hard and dry, except for rosemary which can withstand dry conditions.. During the summer here in Georgia it gets very hot and I pretty much water them everyday.
