DIY Table Top Fire Bowl

Make your own Table Top Fire Bowl or mini fire pit.
Whatever you call it, it's going to add creative ambiance to your patio, deck or yard.
This project was easy and fun to make and I've enjoyed it all season!

During the day I could barely see the flames, but at night, it was beautiful.


I don't think this is food safe, but I think you can find varieties that are.

  • I mention in the original post that I filled mine with pea gravel and topped with the rocks. Yes, they can be spendy. I also mention that you can just use pea gravel. I also have a link to the fire glass showing the cost. This was never instructed as an inexpensive diy project. I hope you at least enjoy your creation.

    Since I did use sand for the larger portion of it, it wasn't that pricey. I guess I didn't recall the pea gravel part. If something happens more than 5 minutes ago, there's a good chance it will slip my teflon coated mind. It was also an issue b/c I used such a large pot (I'm planning on putting a couple of sternos in the bowl.) But it looks great.
