Manufactured home contractors

Is there any type of organization that can help a homeowner find contractors that will work on a manufactured home? I either get a sneer and a snub or I get someone who comes out, looks around, says they'll call me with a quote and I never hear from them again. I've lived in the home for over 30 years and it's time for an update. We're starting with the kitchen/laundry room. I've ordered new cabinets based on measurements I received from one guy but now he's gone AWOL. My husband and I aren't physically able to do the work ourselves. We live just south of Dallas.

These homes truly don't measure to standard products but can be made beautiful none the less. If you have parks chances are great that you have a supplier within your area. Google a manufactured home supplier. You could also ask management or even a neighbor. Ignore the snooty contractors, there are many gifted handy men who would love to tackle your home. Safest to go with a referral from someone who knows. You will find it !!

I have found when I am looking for ideas for updates websites pop-up if I am looking for contractors. Just for the heck of it try googling your project idea and see what comes up.My only other idea would be if you already havent try your local papers for help.

You also want to ask you local hardware for referrals. Try to organization www.homeadvisor.com. Put your city and state and your project. Hopefully, you should get a list of contractors that can do the job. Get more than one bid if you can.

Here in NJ we have something called Angie's list. It's all about local contractors. Maybe you can google it and see if they have something like that by you.
