Paper Plate Holders Upcycled Into Halloween Decor

I'm going to venture out and say that browsing through the thrift store is one of my hobbies. I love envisioning new purposes for items that can add to our decor or the functionality of our home. These paper plate trays now have a new life as a Halloween "wreath"!
These paper plate holders were in good shape, and were only $0.50. I painted the inside with a gray-black and let them dry completely.
I made a template with cardstock for each of the letters, and then added modge podge (regular white glue would work fine, too),
and then sprinkled glitter on top.
After hot gluing ribbon to attach the plates to one another, I have an easy and cheap Halloween decoration to greet guests and trick-o-treaters. I'm posting every day in October with a new upcycled DIY holiday decor project, so if you enjoy thrift stores (or rummaging through your attic or basement) as much as I do, you should come check out the series!
