How could I use my Japanese silkscreen in a home office wall grouping?

I'm planning to make a bedroom into a home office and want to use this recently restored and framed silkscreen that my dad brought home from Japan in the 50's. I don't want a totally Asian themed office, however. My wall color choice is a burnt orange similar to the pagoda color in the silkscreen for an accent wall and something neutral for the other walls.

Use black office furniture with a slight sheen to compliment the frame. Accent with the soft blue of the sky behind the pagoda and use a white window treatment. Additional wall hangings would compliment your silk screen if they had a black or black bamboo frame as well.

If you are referring to additional pictures for the complementing walls take a snap shot of the picture and take that with you to find the right look and additional furnishings.

Since this piece has special meaning, If your flooring is the size I'm thinking it is, this is large enough to stand on it's own on another wall, possibly beside a window. Since it was something your Dad brought back from Japan decades ago and you don't want an Asian theme, I think that would be the best way to showcase it.

Japanese porcelain has all if the colors in your silkscreen. Usually blue and white with some rust. They can be purchased inexpensively at an import store and online. A grouping of those would be lovely. I agree that black accents in the furnishings would play nicely off of the frame.

Does a silkscreen have the picture on both sides. Can you see the picture from either side? If so I would suspend the picture from the ceiling so it would act like a faux wall maybe facing the door.

How fortunate you are to have such a lovely piece from your father. Why not create a room that reflects world travel? Perhaps frame a world map. Use interesting baskets for storage and one or two stacks of interesting, pretty books. Maybe some ceramic pieces, pillows. chunky candleholders, and a woven throw over a chair--items that look like you could have picked them up on a trip.Visit the World Market to get inspiration. Let your one special silkscreen be the stand out piece surrounded by items that are neutral and/or bring out the colors in your silkscreen.

I think it would be nice to frame some kanji lettering (Japanese writing) that are words you want to have in your house. (e.g. joy, peace, gratitude, silence) Look on-line for kanji and then print them off and frame them on one side of the picture (Japanese aesthetic likes things asymmetrical and in groups of odd numbers 3, 5, 7 etc)
