WOW! WOW! WOW! This is an amazing space. Talk about a 'man cave'. "Hey honey, I'll be downstairs watching the game, playing some games and tasting wine." AWESOME!!
A great project to work on from design and construction point of view - the blank canvas aspect is always a pleasure. Glad you like it - and you're right about the man cave - totally driven by the man of the house, just a small concession with the dance studio for his ballet loving daughters!
LOVE this basement!!!! I design basements here in Minneapolis and I wanted to thank you for the inspiration!! I did have a question however....in the theater / TV room, what is that wood "cabinet" looking piece standing in the corner??? If it was a cabinet I would have thought it would match the rest of the millwork.......
Thanks for the compliments! Good question, I had not noticed before. The furnishings you see in the photos were all provided by the homeowner and I'm not sure what the purpose of the cabinet is. Maybe I should get my photographer to air brush it out...
An update on this project - on Friday we heard that the project has won a regional CotY award Via NARI (Nat Assoc of Remodeling Industry). We are delighted, there are lots of very high quality companies submitting very good projects. Mark's Design and Brent's attention to detail as onsite project manager made all the difference!
