Saturday after Thanksgiving was very nice weather.

So I pulled old tomato vines and o kra stalks.and plowed the patch. I found packets of left over Spinach, Mustard, Turnip, and Rape seeds. So I sowed them. Now it rained and it Cold but will be slightly warm this weekend. Ya'll think there's any hope of sprouting?

Saturday after Thanksgiving was very nice weather. So I pulled up okra stalks. I stacked them up in a neat pile beside the garden. Tied the tops together with a rope to easy hauling to compost pile. It got heavy 1/2 way there so I took a rest and stood the stack up on the root ends. Spread out the root ends and now I have a 9 foot Okra Christmas Tree in my yard. Going to place red lights on it this weekend.

Be sure to post a picture of that Okra Christmas tree lit up! I think you will get some sprouting on your seeds. If you are into making the effort, you could cover them for additional warmth with plastic or frost fabric to heat the space up a bit more. Make a cold frame type set up. And you can also make a barrier with bales of wheat straw to insulate them as well. Just remember to uncover them if it is going to be back up in the 70's or you will cook your babies! Good Luck. Let us know how it turns out.

Folks in Atlanta report it being good bulb-planting weather this weekend. If that holds, your seeds should definitely sprout.
