Bear's BIG DOG Bed!
Bear is a BIG dog and needs more room to stretch out comfortably. These big square dog beds just weren't going to cut it!

I could tell he liked his own bed but if he wanted to stretch out, he had to opt for the floor.

I'd heard of dog beds made from crib mattresses, but Bear is a lot bigger than a baby (nearly 100 lbs). So, I bought a used (and fumigated) twin mattress, instead! I covered it with a new mattress cover, sheet, and his own purple fleece blanket.

Oh, and the mattress cost me $40 - which is the exact price I'd been paying for the square beds that were too small. Same price but problem solved (and he's napping in his Big Dog Bed as I type!

well slap me silly! lol baby crib mattress you say huh? hmmm, I'll have to try that with my Opie(1/2 beagle-1/2 dachshund)... with me being the tailor that I am, I can make a mattress cover & other stuff for him to spoil him rotten...as if I don't already. :-)
