Low Cost, Big Impact: Paint a Patterned Accent Wall

I've been meaning to post this project for awhile but I'm just now finally getting around to it. Last summer while my husband was in Japan for a few weeks, I walked by this wall in the front entry and decided, "that wall needs a change!" and just like that, I painted it. Surprise, honey! He never knows what to expect when he comes home from a business trip. Since I didn't want to spend any money on it or have to make a trip to the paint store, I used paint and supplies that we already had and created a cardboard template to make the pattern. I traced the template onto the wall and then handpainted the pattern. The painting is the most time consuming part, but it's a small wall and it was done in a few days doing a little at a time.
