Transitioning A Porch From Fall To Halloween

Since my Halloween decor is up for such a short time, I prefer to not spend too much money on it. I bought a few items at the dollar store and added it to my normal fall look to transition the porch into a Halloween look.
After Halloween is over (I'll be out there bright and early on November 1st), I can just remove the few "Halloween" items and turn the porch back into fall decor until I decorate for Christmas after Thanksgiving is over.
Quick, easy and cheap is the name of the game!
I also made the oil funnel turned Jack-o'-Lantern and DIY Fall Wreath. Tutorials for both projects can be found by clicking on the blue links in the previous sentence.
It will be super easy to remove those few Halloween items and return it to a normal fall porch after Halloween is over. I normally leave my fall decor up until after Thanksgiving.

The birds came from the Dollar Tree ($1 each).
The bats (also from the Dollar Tree) are hot glued on to the glass storm door.

If "Halloween" is such a burden, why decorate for it at all?

I think when you say short-lived it sounds like a few days of decorating, where a lot of people (myself included) go all out for weeks prior to the 31st because Halloween décor does come down rather fast to get ready for Thanksgiving! I even do purple and orange lights! Your decorations are too cute and I'm sure going to do the magnet faces on several things because pumpkins can get expensive.
