Kitchen organizing

I have one of the weirdest kitchens I have ever seen and am having trouble finding an organization system that works for me. I do not have any drawers (I don't have any in my bathroom either) and the cabinet shelves range from tall to so short I have no idea what to put on them. Any ideas?

    Pictures please.
  • Wicker baskets and trays might do the trick. I had a kitchen without drawers and used a divided wicker utensil holder for silverware and a wicker pail to hold larger utensils.

You can purchase roll out shelves (heavy wire) to retrofit the cabinet bases. Home Depot and Lowes carry them as well as on line.. I had the same issue in Florida and retrofit all the base cabinets with them. Huge difference! they even have swing out shelves for those "blind" corner cabinets! Just make sure you measure careful to make sure the roll outs will clear hinges, etc.

In the short shelves you can roll your dish towels and dish cloths; or place your pot holders.

Hard to say without pics. Do u have room to build a small island out of a set of drawers. I screwed a pieces of plywood , added wheels to the bottom and used the sink cut out piece of granite for the top. Added painted peg board to one end and hang pots and pot holders from it. Works wonderful . I also use large pots on the counter by the stove to hold my lg spoons, spatulas, wooden spoons and knives. Or find a canister set at a thrift shop and use those. Also u can put up a shelf under ur upper cabs and use small $ store baskets to store things. I use them for my onions, garlic , apples, etc... My friend hung one of those three tiered wire baskets and put all her hand towels, washcloths and sponges in.

I added lidded containers on shelves in base cabinets. This idea could help you too. These containers come in various heights so you wouldn't have to do the two sizes on each shelf like I did. When we need something instead of getting on our knees to get something out of the base cabinet, we just reach down and pull out a container, set it on the counter and get what we need. Just as easy to put things away.
