Fall in the Entry

This year I was having trouble deciding how I wanted my Fall decor to look in our entryway - I just wasn't feeling it for some reason. However one day when I was browsing the Salvation Army store to see what they had I came upon a set of old lanterns and inspiration hit me.
This is the lanterns I found at the Salvation Army store. They are actually a not so pretty shade of red orange and really not to my liking so I decided to paint them with some black chalkboard paint and use them as the main feature in my Fall entry decor. The price was right and the work was minimal.
The paint made such a transformation in them - they turned out so pretty. I decided to just add an embellished candle in the small one and a few Fall items in the large one.
And this is how the entry turned out to greet Fall into our home this year. I love all the bright colors and textures that came together. Everything else I used were things I had on hand. Simple, inexpensive and easy to put together.
I have joined a group of other bloggers in an amazing blog hop You will be inspired by all the wonderful projects that have been put together welcome Fall in our homes.
