This Dresser Was Headed to the Trash

This dresser had severe water damage, and all the veneer was beyond repair. After much consideration, the veneer was removed. Replacing the veneer would have cost more than the piece was worth.
All weak areas were replace and/or repaired. It was sanded and filled where needed, then primed and painted in an vintage white color. Tissue paper was applied to the drawers and sides of the dresser. Once dried, it was glazed with Modern Masters Metallic Warm Sliver and finished with a water based poly. The hardware was painted with a oil rubbed bronze and highlighted with MM Warm Silver.
The creamy white with the glaze over a textured surface give this classic beauty a modern touch.
