Cloudy Glass

Can anyone give me advice on how to get cloudy looking glass clear again? I bought a couple of cool looking Mason Jars yesterday that were cloudy looking. I assumed they were just dirty, but after running them through the dishwasher and cleaning them with windex, they still look the same. Help!

they are likely etched... from someone who used too much DW detergent :(

I would suggest soaking in vinegar, the fix-all of all fix-alls!

I am going to try that Becky. If not I will just paint them!

Sometimes soaking in water with tablets used to soak dentures in will help.

Try bleach, spray it on, wait a few seconds, then rinse.

Bleach won't work.... Use Lime Away....works great!! My husband dug up some old bottles while digging rock; one of them dates back to 1930! We thought they were frosted bottles, but nope, just etched, limed, etc. from being buried. He used Lime-Away and they are clear as... glass! :)
