Ok so how on earth does it sharpen??? lol The blade definitely does not slide smoothly through the slot. So nice however to get answers so quickly!! you girls rock!

It's an old knife sharpener. You "swipe" the knife blade quickly and smoothly between the rollers.

I concur w/ all the ladies: knife sharpener!! Just draw the knife between the rollers. If the knife is in really bad shape you might get some metal shavings so eye protection could be in order.

Its a Old timey Knife Sharpner. My mother had one. Put the dull knife between the blades and press down hard, and slide the knife back toward you. Thats it. It really sharpens the knife.
