Upcycle an Old Suitcase With Jeans to Create Some Fun Storage (No Sew)

I love to use old suitcases as storage, but sometimes they are in a bit of a sorry state so need some updating. Here I show you how, I upcycled an ugly old suitcase with some old jeans to create some fun storage.
All you need is a need is an old suitcase, some old jeans and glue.
First I cut my jeans up into lots of squares and cut off the waistband. I then glued these squares to the top bottom and sides of the suitcase in a checkerboard like effect.
To add more interest to my suitcase I glued the waistband and seams of the jeans to the top and bottom edge of the suitcase. I used bulldog clips and pins to hold the denim in place as the glue dried.
When finished I then lined my suitcase with fabric. Full details of which can be seen on here http://www.pillarboxblue.com/easy-no-sew-denim-suitcase-tutorial/
As well as being really useful storage this suitcase now looks so great, I love the denim patchwork look and I'm happy to have it on show.
I may use it as a weekend case as well.

Once you've gone to all that work (it's really cute, love it! ) wouldn't it be worth covering it in modge podge or something to seal it, so it lasts without fraying & getting ratty looking? 👍🏼😃

What kind of glue? Fabric glue? Elders glue? I had a simular project years ago with a backgammon board. The spray adhesive has held for 20 years, but needing some tlc.
