I really like to set a pretty table, especially around the Holidays. I also LOVE the look of unique and interesting chargers but they can be pretty price. I was strolling through the Dollar Store when I came up on a huge stack of gold chargers and the wheels in my head began to turn.
So here is what I started with: six $1 gold chargers and a 98 cent can of flat black, quick drying spray paint from Walmart.
I layed the chargers out on to cardboard in my yard and sprayed a good coat of the quick drying spray paint evenly over each charger. I had just enough spray paint to cover all six, plus a few touch ups! After about 45 minutes they were dry to the touch.
The paint held up really well on the slick surface of the plastic charger. It took me a few tries with the words but the chalk wiped right off with a lint free cloth,
I love the results of this Dollar Store Project! Who doesn't love a high end look for $7???
