Shells and Pebbles Brighten up a Bathroom
A friend asked me to brighten up the walls of 7 bathrooms she had in a small private lodge.
I bought and found the shells, bags of white pebbles, and used Versabond, an adhesive that can be purchased at any hardware store. Best deals are at Lowe's or Home Depot.
I had never done a project like this before, and it was surprisingly easy. Anyone can do it. You just smear small patches of the mixed Versabond on the wall and stick in the shells.

Versabond is an amazingly versatile product. You can buy a 50lb bag for $15. Just mix to the right consistency (so it is thick enough to stick to the wall, and not drip)

Using Versabond indoors is simple - there are no additional steps. If you are making an outdoor mosaic, you have to work very fast as the sun dries the adhesive up quickly.

There is no real planning - the shells are so aesthetic, they do the job for you.
