Litter box enclosed contraption

Because we're doing home reno's and the wall have been torn down, we needed to come up with a new way to keep the dog from grazing through the litter boxes like he was at an all you can eat buffet. This is what we came up with using items that were scheduled for garbage. It's working out great and it's nice not walking into the storage room and immediately seeing kitty poop!

This is a great idea, but looks a little expensive. I made one from a large plastic bin/tote, she can easily jump in and do her thing and get out without throwing litter outside the box and it is easily emptied and just hose it out with a little soapy water. My cat is a large very long female and she was missing the 'mark' too much, we had to do something and this works great plus it's a cheap fix.

Wonderful idea tho it doesn't always work. One of my cats refuses to use any kind of covered litter box...he will use the entire house as a litter box unless we have an ordinary open messy stinky litter box...since he is now 20 yrs old, I don't think we will be able to change him. I am open to suggestions tho! Our dogs prefer to snack from our covered litter box that the kitten uses...tastier I guess...šŸ™€
