My husband and I used SlabJack Solutions and were tremendously impressed with the results, which surpassed our expectations. Our front porch was sinking and our front walk was cracked and sinking. It was unsightly as well as dangerous. SlabJack was able to fix the problem that caused the sinking and made the necessary repairs. Excellent workmanship! We are so pleased!!! Thank you SlabJack!

I recently used them to level my front walkway that cracked and dropped about 3" creating a tripping hazard. It was a small job for them so they looked around and found problems in a corner of my driveway and a area by my back door. They included the other two areas for only $50 more. I think the price was very fair and and the quality of the work was excellent. I highly recommend them, and already have to several friends.

Looks great. I assume that jacking may work in some situations where the problems are caused by uneven compacting of the underlying soils. But hidden erosion issues would only be a temporary fix? Do you first have to assess the underlying problem and how do you do that?

That is often the problem with these types of repairs...you can inject & jack the problem areas level again...only to have the same problem recurr a few years down the road. As long as the contractor communicates that potential issue everyone knows what they are dealing with. We often see this issue being caused by misdirected gutters & downspouts....like this one: http://youtu.be/ufIcukN0mrs

I agree with HandyAndy and Kevin. My experience is the only way to fix this is with a jackhammer, compact. make sure its not sitting over a spring and repour. Do they give a warranty? If so how long? Of course, I'm "old school, so there might be new methods

You are all absolutely right! Concrete is dependent upon the soil in which it sits and that which surrounds it. Concrete in itself can last hundreds of years, however, two variables that cannot be controlled are "Mother Nature" and "Father Time", thus the soil beneath and around your concrete is constantly changing. Slabjacking is a soil stabilization process first and foremost, once we have stabilized the soil with our site specific soil cement slurry blend, pressure is mounted and ...»
allows us to make adjustments. I would suggest checking out our web site to learn more about the exact process and if you have any questions, I am but a phone call away!

isn't soil stabilization different than slabjacking / mudjacking ? soil stabilization involves injecting ( usually ) lime-enriched cement slurries OR chemical foam,,, slab / mud jacking is pumping a cement-rich slurry under the slab thus filling voids & raising the slab's elevation. if the original soil is unstable OR exhibits low weight carrying capabilities, i would spec soil stabilization aka soil grouting / chemical grouting

In my case there was a downspout in the area that was leaking bad and probably caused the initial problem. That has been repaired and the mudjack solution was a logical way to go. The cost to rip out the existing walkway and redo it was almost 10X the cost of the mudjack.

"C", there are different forms of soil stabilization / chemical grouting process available for sure. We start our process drilling 18" into the ground; when applicable / needed we use a 36" bit and in some cases we use a 60" bit. This allows us to get deep into the soil filling voids and helping with erosion. I would welcome all to check out our web site to get a better understanding of exactly what we do and how we do it. Now, time to go raise some concrete!!!!
