Cedar Planked Headboard Wall

$100

Medium
We recently had houseguests for two weeks, so we decided it was finally time to turn our junk room into a proper guest room. The room is tiny and we put a king sized bed into it, so we created a bed with a slim low profile to keep the foot print small and the visual space open. The decor is sort of a masculine campy style. We still need to add art and makeover a dresser, but for now our guest are enjoying not sleeping on the floor.
To make the headboard we attached cedar siding directly to the wall.
I wanted a neutral slightly masculine color scheme that would please a multitude of guests. All the bedding is from Target.
We left the cedar unfinished to preserve the amazing smell.
Floating side tables also made of cedar help keep the space feeling open.
The mattress is sitting on a platform bed that we sided in cedar 1x8's
Mounted lights from Ikea add function with out taking up valuable real estate.
