Can I just cover this ugly tile with corian or Quartz? I really don't want the demo.

Have you checked into one of the new techniques that they are doing with paint. All the apartments are spraying them on and they look great.

That's a good question especially since you want to upgrade your kitchen countertop not just fake a new one with paint. There are stone overlays you can use to cover an existing countertop. I found one site you can check out: http://www.granitetransformations.com/products/

      B. Enne I hear an echo also. "smiles". My sister in law use this and loves it. You'd never be able to tell is wasn't solid granite. She did have some trouble with cracking, but they took care of it for her.

i just added demolition of them and installation of corian tops! I just received a call from Home Depot saying the company doesn't do removal anymore! What? It's advertised and my contact there is pissed too and is calling the company again to them they have to do it because it was advertised. Just waiting on a call... I talked to him about painting them and he doesn't recommend I do it because of the fumes and I also have medical issues and just want it done yesturday! Thanks for all your comments and help.

@Julie Swamp I am so sorry this is happening. I'm guessing the HoDe rep will take care of you. We've always had great experiences with them. We purchased our Silestone counters through them and the first time they were off, so they had to be redone. Since we were the contractors and it being our home, we were lucky in that the building inspector allowed us to move in as scheduled without a kitchen sink. HoDe gave us a bonus with a free back splash. I still love my Silestone counters.
