I am about to use ASCP on old ornate salvaged frames (many pieces for wedding reception centerpieces). I'm unsure about cleaning the wood ones. Some of them may be the kind where they used plaster-like product to achieve detailing- not sure. Stockist where I purchased said "just make sure they don't have pledge on them" but no advice on how to tell. Some are very dirty, with that unmistakable "truly an antique smell". Amy Howard chalk paint videos said use SimpleGreen on ALL items before using her chalk paint. I'm considering liquid using mild dish detergent and very soft (Ikea dish) brush. Not at all familiar with the simple green products. Could you offer any thoughts or advise from your experience? Your gallery wall looks amazing! Thanks, Kim
